Students will have in-depth, hands-on experiences that emphasize industry awareness, sanitation, safety, food production, and customer service. Students will participate in a school-based culinary enterprise and gain work experience. Assignments are designed to develop and strengthen professionalism, safety, collaboration, cooperation, and food handling skills.
Upon completion of the program, students will be ready for entry level in the food service industry, and can obtain:
- ServSafe California Food Handler Card
- Force In Training Certificate
- California Restaurant Association Work Ready Card
- Scholarships and course credit from the ProStart Natl. Restaurant Association
