I was born and raised in El Portal, CA adjacent to Yosemite National Park. I moved to Quincy in August of 2008 to attend Feather River College Outdoor Recreation Leadership Program. I fell in love with this wonderful town and decided to make it home. I worked seasonally for Plumas National Forest doing Botany and Ecology field work while getting my BA in Natural Sciences from CSU, Chico and then my Teaching Credential and MA in Education. I started teaching Science at Quincy Jr./Sr. High School in 2018 and absolutely love this school. I am so excited to continue my teaching career in the community I love and call home.
One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away. ― Stephen Hawking
